Event Details:

• Location: The Portal

• Date & Time: Check-in will be open from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM. The event will start at 2:00 PM.

• Registration: Online or in-store

• Admission Cost: $30 plus taxes

• Important Notice: Only registered players are allowed in the event area. Guests or companions will not be permitted inside the event area due to capacity limitations.

Tournament Format:

• Swiss Rounds Format: All players will play in each round, regardless of wins or losses.

• Number of Rounds: 4 Swiss rounds for 20 players.

• Match Type: Single-game matches, played with 4 Prize cards per game.

• Round Time: Each round will last 45 minutes, with a 5-minute transition for setup and pairings.

What is a Pokémon Prerelease Event?

A Pokémon Prerelease event lets you experience cards from the new Scarlet & Violet—Destined Rivals expansion before the official release. Here’s how it works:

Build & Battle Box: Each player receives a Build & Battle Box, containing:

• A 40-card pre-built deck (with 1 of 4 promo cards)

• 4 booster packs from the new expansion

• A deck-building tip sheet

Deck Building: You’ll have 20–30 minutes to build a 40-card deck using the cards from your Build & Battle Box and Basic Energy provided.

Swiss Format Matches: Compete in single-game matches using the Swiss format, where you’re paired with players of similar win/loss records after each round.

Participation Prizes: Every participant will receive 3 additional booster packs at the end of the event as a reward for completing the tournament.
